Candle holders with Bandanas – Mothers day project

Candle holders with Bandanas – Mothers day project

Mothers day is fast approaching, but if you still need to make a quick but effective gift or the kids want to make Nanny (or you ;p) something, then over the next couple of days I’ll be sharing some quick Mothers day projects for you.

Today are these candle holders, which are decorated with a fabric waistband cut from a bandana using pinking shears. You could use any offcuts of material you may have (as long as it is large enough to cover the candle holder you are decorating). Why not recycle an old top or bed linen?

The material is attached with VTR Glue which is a special glue for fabric, however any decoupage glue or even Modpodge should do the trick!

Step 1.

Measure the circumference and height of the small candle holder and cut a strip of the bandana using pinking shears (these help to stop fraying).

Step 2.

Apply a thin coat of Glue to the candle holder and attach the fabric waistband. Leave to dry.

Thats it…All finished…It’s as simple as that!
