Today I am sharing with you my first project as a member of Samantha’s design team. When I saw the incredible mermaids I just had to create with one of them first. They are absolutely stunning and photographs simply do not do them justice.
Here’s what I made and how I did it:
I used the long plaque as my base and applied a coat of gesso to start.
I knew I wanted lots of texture, so played about with papers and fabrics and glued them to the base once I was happy.
Next came some texture paste. I used a bubble stencil and an Andy Skinner word stencil with this.
