Today I am sharing a blog post from DT member Karen Clare. This is one of the beautiful samples that was taken to Hochanda recently.
She has created a quick step by step photo tutorial:
Circle cluster plaque
Today I’m sharing the techniques I used to create the decorative circle cluster plaque.
Starting with the medium long plaque and one of the circle clusters.
The circle cluster just shouted out to be filled with various buttons, beads and glitters.
After priming the plaque and the circle cluster with white gesso I used a favourite distress technique.
This simply used the scourer part of a washing up sponge to “dry brush” a couple of colours of DecoArt chalky finish paints firstly in Yesteryear then Relic.
It’s a technique I use and teach frequently and produces great results for distressing effects.

What a fab project 🙂
