Materials

SamanthaK Cogs Mixed Media MDF – 20 pack
SamanthaK 3D MDF Alarm Clock Pack
Clockface from SamanthaK Time Embellishment Pack
Black Gesso
White Gold Gilding Wax
White Gesso
3D Matte Gel Medium
Chipboard rectangle measuring 5” x 3”

Thinly paint all of the clock body in black and the two clock faces in white. Once dry assemble the clock including the large clock face.
Use a black pen to make the numbers on both clock faces stand out.
Use your fingers to add random smears of texture paste over the entire clock (except the faces) and allow to dry thoroughly.
Paint all of the cogs black back and front and when dry stick around the clock face using 3D matte gel. Dry overnight.

Gently massage the white gold gilding wax over the entire clock body and buff when finished.
Add the hands to the small clock face using a brad and stick to the middle of the large clock face using 3D matte gel.
Because the front of the clock is now front heavy I scored a piece of chipboard and added it to the back of the clock as a stand.
TIP: You can use a hot glue gun to add your elements as well as 3d matte medium. The 3d matte medium makes a much stronger and lasting bond.
