To make some extra special, extra large bouquets for my mum and MIL (and to save spending a fortune on flowers buying pre-made fancy bouquets). I purchased lots of different, various, bunches of flowers and made two large bouquets out of them, here is one of them.
The ‘Mum’ stick (in the flowers), were made from MDF and had my mum and MIL’s names down the side.
Here they are in their raw forms after being laser cut.

Here are some pics of the finished flower sticks in the bouquets.
2. Once this was heat set I sprinkled a few Brusho Crystals of the colours I wanted into a palette tray and spritzed carefully with water. Any watercolour paints could be used.
3. I used a paint brush to apply the colour to the card in the area of the Butterfly, the white embossed lines act as a resist and any paint can be gently dabbed off afterwards, leaving crisp white lines.
4. Once happy with how the Butterflies looked I added an outline coloured area to one, but decided not to around the bolder green butterfly.
5. I took my Chipboard/grey board shapes and coloured them. The green one was stained with Pine Needles distress Ink and then had some Inka Gold gilding wax rubbed lightly over it to add a bit of texture. The orange one is solid orange gilding wax, covered all over and then buffed to a high shine.
6. I then mounted each of the water colour sections onto a corresponding mat, so the orange butterfly on an orange mat and the green butterfly on a greenΒ mat.
7. These layers were then mounted onto 300+gm Linen Card stock (hard to see the texture of the Linen cardstock in the photo). This meant that they were on a sturdy, classy base and that the texture of the Linen card, broke up the fact there was so much white area.
8. I popped a few pearls in the corner of the cards and adhered the chipboard words. The cards were finished.
